I have been working on my first solo CD for a long time now. I needed to get a cheap electric bass so I can more easily put bass on my recordings. I got this one that is really nice and didn’t cost much.

I used my new cellphone to record one of my original songs. I have been interested in the events that led to the birth of country music in Bristol TN/VA in 1927. There is a big festival every year to celebrate the event called the Bristol Rythm and Roots Reunion.

I wrote this song about the first recordings of Jimmy Rodgers, the Carter family and many other artists in 1927.

I have stayed at home during the last week and practised. Next week will be a busy week instead. I plan to go to Dubliners open mic on monday, Calors open mic on wednesday. Maybe Vida la Vidas open mic on thursday and at last Oldtime jam on friday.

I will soon do a solo-performance at a café in Göteborg called Vida La Vida. It will take place November 30th at 19:00. It is a free event. I will play my original songs. Please come and visit. There is also coffee and food if you wish to get that. The adress is Fjärde Långgatan 48.

The Time Jumpers tonight was one of the best shows I ever seen. Must see if you like Western Swing. The play every monday at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville.
