My wife followed me to the open stage at Pustervik last week. This time I had written a duet so she could join me on stage.

We are back to the open stage at Pustervik tonight. I have written a duet so ny wife can join me this time. She has been singing in choir for many years so she is very good at singing. This is my third open stage this week, it has been my open stage week.
Next weekend will be different. My daughters have suggested that we enter a programming competition at Dreamhack in Jönköping. So we will compete with our programming skills.

The fall is dark in Sweden, not so much to do except going to musical events. Tonight I’m back at the open mic at restaurant Västerhus. I have three new songs, the newest about Country Pop, a music style that is popular on many radio 📻 stations. My wife Kajsa is also going to help me sing one of the songs.

Always interesting to see great musicians. Last week we had a real treat egen Chip Taylor came to town. He played in a small venue with only about 40 people in attendance. So we had a chance to see up close. If you didn’t know, he wrote great hits like Wild Thing and Angel In the Morning. He also has a famous brother who kept the family name – the actor John Voigt

I’m currently working on my next CD. I want to have 10 songs on it and I have just finished writing the tenth song. I need to check that the song works. I’m going to send it to Nashville Songwriters Association International to get their opinion. After that I can finish recording. I have recorded raw drafts of 8 songs. Two more to go and some fine tuning. Maybe I can get the CD finished some time during this winter.

Gamle Port was the next stop for the fall open mic season. They have a popular open mic that is open every tuesday. I played a brand new song this time, a song about Country Pop.

The audience is a listening audience so if you are interested in playing a couple of songs for a nice audience, this could be for you. It is open 4 Sundays in the fall season so you have to check their schedule.

Summer is almost over and it has been interesting with many new experiences.
Last day of summer was also the first open stage for the fallseason at Pustervik. I played two songs. We had a good time and listened to all the acts. There are usually very good musicians and the crowd listens well.

A couple of years ago when I was in Nashville, I happened to meet Melissa Ellen who is a voice coach.

I am not a natural singer, I started singing when I was over 30 years old. So, it is good for me to get some extra help with my voice.

Melissa lives currently in Atlanta and give voice lessons by Skype, so I’ve started taking lessons from her.

I took a couple of lessons a year ago and now I’m at it again. It will hopefully show the next time I play.
